The brand was born in Austin, Texas, out of a family that built and served its community through butcher shops, local restaurants, and everything in between. Founder Cruz Garcia Jr. grew up in that world: early mornings in the meat market, late nights cleaning buildings after the city went quiet, and long hours helping at his uncle’s restaurants. That kind of grind doesn’t just build strength—it builds character, precision, and pride.

Fellow Austinite Sean Melant is the steady engine behind ZURC1, pairing creative instincts with disciplined technical execution. He and Cruz met in 2023—right place, right time—and that spark became a shared mission. Sean helps turn Cruz’s vision into something real: mockups, product specs, brand voice, and a storefront experience that feels clean, sharp, and effortless for customers. More than anything, he believes in the mission behind the brand and shows up with the consistency and follow-through needed to build something that lasts.
